Both. The simulator is a great way to obtain an overview of aviation. Therefore, we recommend to take the courses you enjoy before real flight training. During flight training, take simulator lessons to work on your deficiencies. I.e. if you have difficulties landing, practice in the simulator before your next flight. It will save you more than a thousand dollars in real training.

AFSA is an independent source for aviation information and is not associated with any flight school. Therefore we will give you the pro's and con's about the various local flight schools. Our recommondation for local flight schools is based on your goals and the actual experience our students had with any particular school.
